Oncall Assist is a real-time shared jobs list for clinical ward teams. It allows healthcare professionals to log, assign, and track tasks during an on-call shift. It is an operational coordination tool, not a clinical record system.
The app stores the following data:
No full patient names, dates of birth, NHS numbers, or clinical records are required or should be entered. Users are reminded of this at the point of task creation.
All room data — including tasks and comments — is automatically deleted after 72 hours of inactivity. This is a core design principle of the app. No long-term storage of operational data takes place.
Data is stored on Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU (Frankfurt). Data does not leave the European Union. Supabase acts as a data processor under our instruction and a Data Processing Agreement is in place.
Oncall Assist does not require user accounts, email addresses, or passwords. Display names are stored only on your device. No advertising, tracking, or analytics that identifies individual users takes place.
Users are responsible for ensuring they do not enter full patient names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, or any other directly identifiable patient information into the app. Use initials, bed numbers, MRNs, or short labels only, and only where necessary to safely identify the patient for the task at hand.
For questions about this privacy notice or data handling, please contact the Oncall Assist team. This app is developed and maintained by a UK-based NHS clinician.
